在炎热的4月天，来到这家位于槟岛市中心，Chulia Street的Rainforest Bakery。早在还没被邀请已经对这家面包坊已经略有所闻，加上未动身前往前有预先做了一些功课，了解到这是由一对双胞胎兄弟也就是哥哥陈顺仁Jesse和弟弟陈顺忠Jerry经营的欧式传统面包坊。两人在2001年从事面包批发，并未开设门面，经过各阶层顾客群要求，他们终于在2008年，在Chulia Street开了自己的门市。哥哥順仁在倫敦著名有機麵包店Celtic Bakery學藝出身，几年前他返檳城發展自己的麵包事業時，老闆決定讓他為分店掌舵以便挽留，但他還是毅然回家設立Rainforest Bakery。這個已出現在背包客聖經Lonely Planet指南，受盡日本歐美僑民愛戴的麵包，告訴我們麵包如何回到最原點。陳順忠是英國倫敦著名有機麵包店Celtic Bakery的弟子。那裡的有機餐廳和食物賣場蔚然成風，人們天天都吃著有機餐飲有機麵包。他當年去倫敦學做麵包，只抱持一個最單純的想法：麵包是歐洲人發明的，要學最像樣的麵包，就該到歐洲去。於是，陳順忠落腳倫敦，進了Celtic Bakery，學藝兩年，該懂的他都學會了。 更多图文并茂：http://jazzlah.blogspot.com/2011/04/yummyinvited-reviewrainforest-bakery.html

我和小晶来到armenian street，发现edelweisscafe正在一条只能一辆汽车通行的单行道旁。而且没特别留意，会让人有点忽略了他的存在。当天来到这间cafe时正下着绵绵细雨，进到室内，bar台角落正播着souljazz版本的流行曲，很有情调下，可以让城市人暂时抛开原有节奏快速的生活，偷偷躲在这里享受时间放慢的空间。 edelweisscafe附近没有什么地方可以parking，如果要挑剔，这应该是唯一要挑剔的地方。一进去edelweisscafe，里面大约有10张桌子和一个供吃小餐点或喝酒喝咖啡的bar台，cafe可以容纳4-50人吧。。。里面有3张桌位已经顾客了，清一色都是外国人，都在看报纸杂志边享受他们的午餐或者brunch。。。最吸引我们的地方，莫过于这里的装饰和情调，实在太有味道了，看图片说话吧。 更多图文并茂请参考： http://jazzlah.blogspot.com/2010/08/edelweiss-cafe-1.html http://jazzlah.blogspot.com/2010/08/edelweiss-cafe-2.html
